PENGETAHUAN WANITA USIA SUBUR TENTANG KANKER SERVIKS DI DESA TARAI BANGUN WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS TAMBANG TAHUN 2015

Abstract

Worldwide, about 500,000 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer and at least 231,000 women worldwide die from cervical cancer (cervix). In 2011 in Indonesia amounted to 11.07% in inpatient and outpatient 19.6% and ranks second out of 10 other malignant cancers. In 2013, cervical cancer was ranked second in the number of patients as many as 109 people or 15.4% of 708 people suffering from gynecological diseases. A Cervical cancer is a malignancy that occurs in the cervix dapun purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of women of childbearing age about cervical cancer in Tarai Wake Village Puskesmas Mine. This research is descriptive. The population is all women of childbearing age in the village of Tarai Wake up with a total sample of 97 people taken by simple random sampling. Measuring instrument used was a questionnaire with 33 questions total number of questions. Data were analyzed by univariate and processed manually. Results of the study were obtained from 97 women of childbearing age, 41 (42.26%) have less knowledge about cervical cancer in general. Based on this research, it is hoped all parties concerned, especially health workers in order to increase promotional activities about cervical cancer
